NATWEST SUPPORTS CALIPER RELOCATION

Coalville-based Midland Caliper Centre has bought new 13,500 sq ft premises and is set to create jobs after signing a six-figure funding deal.

Established in 2002, the family-run Leicestershire firm operates UK wide ‒ specialising in the re-conditioning and sale of commercial vehicle brake calipers.

Looking to increase headcount and having outgrown its 4,500 sq ft rented premises, Midland Caliper’s founder and managing director Mick Bunney approached NatWest to secure a six-figure loan.

Bunney said: “We were at a pivotal moment in the business’ 12-year history and expanding so quickly that a property move was essential to our future. Making the decision to buy premises rather than rent was something we’d always dreamed of.”

The investment has meant the firm has bought the 13,500 sq ft warehouse on Comet Way. Four new jobsare also being created within the next year ‒ taking headcount to 35.

Bunney added: “Our business means a lot to us as a family – what drives us is giving customers the best possible level of service.

“This is such an important moment for us as we buy our own commercial property, which is three times bigger than where we were previously. We now have the room to expand our services, take on new staff and also hope to double turnover within the next few years.”

Lee Bredariol, senior relationship manager for NatWest, added: “Congratulations to Mick, Aneta and the team on completing the move to these impressive new premises, which in turn is creating new jobs and boosting the local economy.

“We are proud to be a part of their continued growth and look forward to supporting the company with their future plans.”
